There are people in every field and industry who will always push up their possible boundaries through innovation and creative actions to realize their dreams. In the world of DJ, Piotr Bejnar is such a person. He has been passionate about experimenting with various forms of music and corresponding performances since his youth. Recently, with the help of 3D printing technology , Bejnar is playing a project called Heartbeats.
It is understood that in the Heartbeats project, Bejnar hopes to find a new and dynamic way to connect with his audience, not only through their own beats, but also through the rhythm of the audience, even through their heartbeat (Heartbeats means heartbeat). According to the DJ, he was inspired to carry out the project after a performance. At that time, he could only perform in the crowd due to the limited stage space. In the performance, he is so close to the audience that he can almost feel the heartbeat of the people around him. He thinks this is a good experience and can be carried forward.
In order to advance this project, Bejnar began to listen to his heartbeat and play music on this basis. Later, he pulled in friends and let them exercise to record heartbeats of different frequencies. Through the success of these small-scale experiments, Bejnar knew that his ideas were correct, and began to think about how to let the audience's heartbeat participate in his live music performance. For this he thought of 3D printing .
Using the Zortrax M200 3D printer , Bejnar and his team designed and developed a wearable device that effectively delivers the wearer's heart rate to Bejnar's laptop. After many prototypes and design concepts, Bejnar found that the bracelet is an accessory that allows the audience to participate and is less eye-catching. So, Bejnar finally designed a rough-shaped arrow-shaped bracelet with a heart rate monitor and wifi access, and it glows when worn on the wrist.
As mentioned earlier, this heartbeat bracelet is made with Zortrax's M200 3D printer and uses one of the most durable materials from the Polish 3D printing company: Z ULTRAT. It is built in collaboration with the Scotch whisky manufacturer Ballantine's. Each bracelet is made of white material to facilitate the color effect of the LED lights.
It is reported that Bejnar's Heartbeats project was recently unveiled at the Ball & Ball Stall Stories event in Warsaw, attracting a large number of enthusiastic audiences. Consumers participating in the event will get a 3D printed bracelet at the club entrance and then wear it until the end of the evening. As the music rang, people danced, heart rate monitor information from each bracelet was sent to Bejnar's DJ console and passed through the bass beats. Bejnar will perform live performances on this basis, and the result is a complete The unique performance touched everyone's heart.
