Three methods for separation of paper and plastic

The paper and plastic separation methods include thermal separation, wet separation and electrokinetic separation.

Hot division

Method for separating paper and plastic by changing plasticity after heating

(1) Heat-tube method: The separation device is composed of an electrically heated chrome-plated material cylinder and a built-in hollow cylinder (drum) with a scraper. The scraper is connected to the wall of the heating cylinder. The two rotate in reverse, and the bottom of the cylinder is connected with a material trough. From the feed added, the plastic components and the hot tube start to melt when contacted, adhere to the wall, scraped with a scraper, fell into the trough. This method can be more than 90% of the plastic and paper, separated plastic The paper content is very small and can be controlled below 1%.

(2) The hot air flow method: the use of plastic film shrinkage, reduce the specific area of the principle of plastic film and paper separation. The film and paper mixture sent to the heating area, the heating box can be a agricultural grain dryer, Being granular, so that its surface area is reduced, the mixture of paper and paper is sent to the air separator. The air stream carries the paper from the mixture, and the thermoplastic particles fall on the bottom of the separator. This method can almost Separate plastic from paper completely.

2. Wet method

The light material obtained from the dry fractionation apparatus is fed to the agitator. The pulp that has been crushed is discharged from the small holes in the separation plate. The remaining plastic is discharged from a separation outlet and then sent to the dewatering machine. Dehydration, and then sent to the air separator for separation.

3. Electric separation method

The paper-plastic mixture is fed from a vibratory feeder into the separator, falls into a rotating milling drum, and is sent to the corona area formed between the wire electrode and the milling. The paper is attracted to the electrode. The plastic is still attached to the drum and collects as the rotation of the drum plastically falls to the bottom of the drum. Humidity has a great influence on the separation result when the drum is rotated. When the humidity of the mixture is 15%, the paper and plastic can be separated. However, the plasticity is still contaminated by a large amount of paper. When the humidity is increased to more than 50%, plasticity and paper can be completely separated.
