Alpine Introduction - Kaifeng

Mountain Profile

Qifeng Mountain is located in the northwest of Yangbajing, in the southwest of Nyainqentanglha Peak, northeast of the Rongfeng Peak, and next to it is a mountain called Luyi. Kaifeng Peak is 6,206 meters above sea level. It is extremely snow-capped all year round. From the south it looks like the whole mountain is round, but the north is steep like a knife. This mountain peak is the training base for Tibet Ozark Alpine School.

route

There is an easy climbing route. The Japanese middle-aged team once successfully climbed this simple route. The slope of this route is similar to that of the Yuzhu Peak, which is along the southwest slope of the 14th Tibet team in 1999. The team’s main players, Renna and Gab, and the international sportsman, Dan Gengji, led the students of the 20 Ozark schools to train here. They climbed uphill from the location to the east of the south, with an average slope of around 50 degrees, reaching the top. It's steeper. You have to go straight to get on the road. The top of the hill should not be too close to the ridge. It is a snow squat and a steep wall.

Because the peaks of all kinds of slopes have mixed terrain and vertical ice walls, they are suitable for all levels of human training, but beginners must not go beyond their own level.

Into the mountains: from Lhasa along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway in the Yangbajing Road West, after the Yangbajain Hot Springs, to the north of the Qiluo Temple on the ramp to the north of the Qiluo Temple, this temple with more than one hundred nuns is to climb Kai Qi Base camp. There is a section of mountain road to get off-road vehicles to get to go. There are no villages near the Luoluo Temple, so there are no yak or horses. The nuns in the temple are transported to the forward camp for transportation. The nuns of the Luoluo Temple do not understand Chinese and must find a translator.

Climbing History In 1999, the main players of the 14-team Tibet team Renna and Gab, as well as international champion Jiang Danji, led the students of 20 Ozark schools to train here.
