Crown launches new cartridge packaging

PHILADELPHIA, USA, August 4, 2005 - Crown Specialty Packaging, part of the Crown Group, today announced that it has produced a new Intuix ink promotional packaging cartridge for the Dexxon Group. This sleek tinplate ink cartridge features an easy-to-open lid that is a major breakthrough in ink jet printing ink packaging.

The ink cartridge has 20% more capacity than conventional blister packs, with the ability to place multiple sub-packs in one container. Intuix's promotional packaging contains a black ink cartridge and two color ink cartridges, plus a complimentary ink cartridge and a beautiful light-emitting pen.

“We want to create a promotional package that brings high-quality feel to customers and differentiates Intuix,” said Thierry Montier, product manager at Intuix. “Crown helped us achieve this goal. With new promotional packaging, we can continue to increase our market share in different markets and countries."

In addition to increasing shelf appeal, this metal packaging also prevents theft. Traditional blister-packed ink cartridges are often stolen from store shelves, and this type of metal packaging is more difficult to steal because of its unique shape and tinplate's tendency to trigger the nature of the alarm device.

This promotional packaging has now been marketed in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, and has achieved great success. The actual sales exceeded five times more than initially expected. (Finish)
