Thin-film high-gloss in-mold labels and low-density in-mold labels have features such as reduced cost and high molding speed, respectively.
According to the tagging association, YuPo, a Japanese company, recently introduced two new types of packaging labels: thin high-gloss in-mold labels and low-density in-mold labels.
According to reports, the transparent material inside the transparent PP mold can reflect the color of the container itself, so that the label and the container can be united in a harmonious manner and truly achieve the “no label†effect. Transparent in-mold labeling solves the common problem of edge-hanging on transparent PP and PE adhesive labels. It reduces the cost for relatively expensive bottle body screen printing, and it has good printing effect and is also suitable for hot and cold bronzing. After the market, it is widely used in the daily chemical industry and packaging industry that focus on the appearance of containers. Taking into account the user's increasingly stringent cost control of its product containers, Japan's YuPo recently introduced a white thin high-light in-mold label. Thin-type materials perform better than high-gloss PP in-mold materials, which are widely used today, in terms of printability and molding effects. However, thin materials require higher stiffness to ensure that the printing, die-cutting and labeling processes can be completed smoothly.
One of the reasons why thin materials can gradually replace the first generation of high-gloss in-mold materials is that users can reduce the cost of their labels with almost no changes (without the need to adjust mold equipment and printing processes); The second is the use of thin materials to increase the strength of the container. In terms of environmental protection and cost, more and more users use thinner or lighter containers, and the combination of thin materials enables thinner containers to also use in-mold labels and increase the strength of the containers.
Another white low-density in-mold label of YuPo, Japan, also attracted peer attention. According to reports, low-density materials have the following characteristics: First, the printing effect is good; Second, the molding speed is fast; Third, the molding equipment and molding conditions require less. Since the low density material has good softness and surface smoothness, the printing effect is good, and because of its low density, the label shrinks with the shrinkage of the bottle during the molding of the container, so the molding equipment and the molding conditions are not Not harsh. The cooling time can be increased, and the demolding temperature can be higher, increasing the efficiency. After the container made of low-density material is cooled, the label will have a phenomenon similar to that of orange peel, abbreviated as orange peel phenomenon, and some manufacturers will call it a cloth pattern in-mold label. The orange peel material and the specular material have different appearances after molding.
