The main business of Qingdao Jiali is a flexographic printing corrugated box. According to Mr. Luo, in the quality management process, maintaining the consistency of color is very important for corrugated box printing. Qingdao Jiali had previously encountered customer complaints because the printed colors of different batches and the same type of corrugated box products were inconsistent. After investigation and study, quality management personnel found that when printing different batches of corrugated cartons, production personnel had been using the same sample proofs, and due to the passage of storage time, the surface inks had been oxidized, resulting in color changes. Subsidiary colors vary widely. For this reason, when Qingdao Jiali signs the sample with the customer, it will make 50 or 60 sample cases for the customer to sign the sample together, then leave a few for the customer, leave some for themselves, and use the sample box in a dedicated sample room. Protect from light and moisture (using plastic film wrap).
In order to achieve consistent print colors for the same batch of products, production personnel will replace the control sample box at least once every month. And keep a part of the sample for each production, for the next production reference, to ensure consistency of the color of different batches of prints.
Luo believes that there are indeed some contradictions between quality management personnel and production personnel. Because for the production personnel, not only the quality of the print but also the production efficiency and the delivery date must be considered. When there are more orders, the production speed will increase and the quality will decrease. In this situation, quality managers need to have a good overall sense. Quality requirements are important, but problems in actual production must also be considered. Similarly, production personnel should also understand the difficulties of quality management personnel. However, this kind of mutual understanding is still difficult to avoid the occurrence of “knock-off†between departments, so the company will number each carton product. If customers encounter complaints about quality, they can identify who the product is by number. Whichever platform is used to do it, the system of responsibility is up to the people.

In order to prevent "swapping" phenomenon, Qingdao Jiali has also achieved data management of product quality. Every day, production personnel and quality management personnel are called to convene a production regular meeting. All quality management personnel are on the scene, and the quality problems that appear in the workshop are listed and records are made: data management is formed.
