In the first few issues, we overviewed the application of PitStop, and then learned about its preflight (Preflight), automated editing action creation methods and examples. Now let us fully understand the tools and some basic settings of PitStop version 6.x (the latest version just released is 7.0).
PitStop toolbar and menu
There are many tools in PitStop, we can display all the tools in the toolbar, PitStop tools are purple or purple frame, all the icons pointed by the arrows in Figure 1 are PitStop tools. To display the PitStop tool on the toolbar, select "Toolbar (T)" in the menu "View (V)", and then check the PitStop tool you need to display on the toolbar, as shown in Figure 2. Another part of PitStop's commands and working windows are stored in the menu, as shown in Figures 3, 4 and 5.
The PitStop commands in the menu "Edit" are available (see Figure 3):
1. PitStop Hide Selection-hide the selected object 2. PitStop Show All-display all objects 3. PitStop Duplicate-copy 4. PitStop Set Trimbox-crop the selected object 5. PitStop Text-will Sentence split into words or letters 6. PitStop Path-change the path of the object 7. PitStop Mask-create or remove the mask 8. PitStop Layer-change the order of the object [next]
The PitStop command in the menu "Certified PDF" has (see Figure 4):
1. Start ...—— Start the standard PDF process 2. Preflight and Save——Pre-check and save 3. Edit Properties——Edit the standard PDF process (it will appear only after completing the pre-check and save commands)
4. Show Status and so on-in the menu "Certified PDF" the second and third columns are some documents, report records, etc.
The PitStop working window in the menu "Window" (see Figure 5):
1. Show PitStop Inspector-this window interface depends on the tool in use and the selected object 2. Show PitStop Global Change-can change the color, font, content position, page number, etc. in the file as a whole 3. Show PitStop PDF Profile Panel-pre-check work window 4. Show PitStop Action List Panel-action work window 5. Show PitStop Image Matching Panel-image matching window 6. Show PitStop Registration Info-registration window

1. CertifiedPDF.net-if this icon is green, you have successfully registered as a member of this organization 2. Certified PDF Status-if this icon is green, this file is already a controlled standard PDF
3. Undo——Restore (this command is also available in the menu "Edit")
4. Redo-Redo (this command is also available in the menu "Edit")
5. Toggle Inspector——Show or hide the Inspector working window (this command is also available in the menu "Window")
6. Toggle Global Change Panel-show or hide the Global Change working window (this command is also available in the menu "Window")
7. Toggle PDF Profile Control Panel-Show or hide the PDF Profile Control working window (this command is also available in the menu "Window")
8. Toggle Action List Control Panel-Show or hide the Action List Control working window (this command is also in the menu "Window")
9. select Objects-select object tool 10. select Rectangular Area-select square area tool 11. Move Selection-move selected object tool 12. Edit Text Line-edit text tool 13. Edit Path-edit path tool 14. Copy & Paste Attributes——Copy and paste the object features. The small triangle on the right side of this icon means to hide other tools. Click this triangle to drop down other tools such as Eye Dropper, Guides and Measure tools. 15. View Annotations——Display Or hide note paper 16. View Page Boxes-show or hide the page box 17. View Wireframe-show or hide the object frame 18. Speedup Image Display-enable or disable the display accelerator 19. View Problems-show or hide Question 20. select PDF Profile-set or start the PDF preflight profile (a total of 5 shortcut keys, just like the Function Key of the computer)

PitStop preferences
We can set the language, tools and colors of PitStop according to our own needs to suit our working style. As shown in Figure 6, PitStop's preferences are set in the menu "Edit"> Preferences> Enfocus PitStop Professional ...
1. General—This field allows the user to set the language of the PitStop interface (Sorry, no Chinese), Undo several times, the display mode of certain tools, and warnings or prompts.
2. Colors-This field sets the colors of different objects and boxes so that users can quickly distinguish various things. 3. Tools-This field allows users to set tool links, units of measurement, and PDF version control 4. New Objects-this field allows the user to set the attributes of the newly created text and lines 5. Color Management-this field allows the user to set the color management 6. Enfocus Certified PDF-this preference is not in the above menu, it is independent in the menu " Edit "> Preferences> Enfocus Certified PDF ..., it allows us to set the standard PDF process and the personal data of CertifiedPDF.net.
