"Solar Thermal Power Generation Technology and System Demonstration" Project Passed Acceptance

On July 6, the acceptance meeting of the solar thermal power generation subject of the key projects in the advanced energy technology field of the National "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" 863 Program was held at the solar thermal power generation experimental base of the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Badaling, Yanqing. The acceptance meeting was organized by the High Technology Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Zhang Fukuan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Electrical Engineering, attended the acceptance meeting.

The Ministry of Science and Technology established the "Solar Thermal Power Generation Technology and System Demonstration" project in the "Eleventh Five-Year" project planning, and issued a document to the Electrician Institute to characterize the project as a national 863 high-tech scientific test project. This is the first large-scale solar thermal power station in China, and has great practical significance for promoting the development of the solar thermal power industry.

At the acceptance meeting, researcher Wang Zhifeng, the project leader, first elaborated on the background, implementation, and research results of "Overall Design Technology and System Integration of Solar Tower Thermal Power Generation System", and planned the future research work after the end of the project. Subsequently, Researcher Li Xin reported on the completion of "Research and System Establishment of High-Reliable Endothermic, Heat Transfer, and Thermal Storage Methods". After listening to the written report of the subject, the participating experts conducted a field visit to the solar thermal power generation experimental base of Badaling Chinese Academy of Sciences in Yanqing, and strictly reviewed the completion of the acceptance indicators of the subject. After discussion by the expert group, it was unanimously agreed that these two topics passed the acceptance.

With the acceptance of the above two topics, all the topics in the "Eleventh Five-Year" 863 "Solar Thermal Power Generation Technology and System Demonstration" project have all completed acceptance. Since the site selection in 2005, the project has relied on the sincere unity and hard work of the research team and the strong support of all parties to overcome many difficulties including scientific and technological problems and institutional mechanisms. It has successfully completed the contract indicators and established China. Construction of the first MW-class tower power plant, and additional construction of power generation facilities has been completed.

The expert group believes that the construction of this project has provided strong support for the development of solar thermal power generation technology in China, and cultivated a high-level technical team active in the field of solar thermal power generation, laying a foundation for the development of solar thermal power generation technology in China. I hope that the research team will take this opportunity to strive for new breakthroughs in solar thermal power generation technology and make greater contributions to China's solar thermal power generation business.
